Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training PowerPoint Presentation Assignment
Hello I am currently in a graduate master’s level course in “Operations Management” and have an upcoming project that deals with SIx Sigma Executing a DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) PowerPoint Presentation to research for a chosen company that I will detail the assignment process below.
Side Note: This PowerPoint Presentation has to include “detailed” and “thorough” speaker notes for the presentation when it comes to gathering data and presenting information to an executive committee. Also, “No Plagiarism” since it will be checked for it in this assignment. Slide Presentation between 12-to-15 slides total.
Purpose of Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is for students to receive Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training – Executing DMAIC (Define, Measure Analyze, Improve, Control) Six Sigma Quality Improvement (define and measure) projects.
Resources: Microsoft® PowerPoint® (with detailed and thorough speaker notes, no plagiarism!)
Select a business where you work or one with which you are familiar to make sure you are able to gather data, and for which you can identify processes to improve. (An idea I had for this is the company of Amazon since I have heard there are certain processes, such as Amazon Prime could provide more content sources based on no single service has or offers all the content people want; or that Amazon should be more transparent in their pricing since I have heard they have constant experimentation with pricing schemes and offers that sort of creates confusion about how good the company’s prices really are, but do not really have all that much of transparency within the company).
Execute the define phase of the Six Sigma DMAIC project including the following:
- Introduction (1 slide)
- Identify customers and their priorities.(1 slide)
- Identify a project suitable for Six Sigma efforts based on: (3-5 slides?)
- Business objectives.
- Customer needs and feedback. For example, if the team chooses a fast food chain, they could observe and record defects with preparation and delivery of the food, cleaning of the restaurant inside and out, including the rest rooms
- Productivity of the operation and quality of service measured by such metrics as: wait times per each customer from the time the order is made until the customer is handed their food, customers served per hour per total number of employees, number of errors made in products served vs ordered, friendliness of the staff, and cleanliness of the operation; including inside the restaurant, outside, in the rest rooms, tables, floors, waste baskets, etc.
- Identify and develop the problem statement.(1 slide)
- Identify CTQs (critical-to-quality characteristics) the customer considers to have the most impact on quality. (1-2 slides?)
Execute the measure phase of the Six Sigma DMAIC project including the following:
- Determine the metrics to measure the process and how it is performing.(1 slide)
- Identify the key internal processes influencing CTQs and measure the defects currently generated relative to those processes. (1-2 slides?)
- Conclusion (1 slide)
- References (include APA cited references with web links) (1 slide)
Develop a 12-to-15 slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation, including detailed speaker notes, highlighting the summary in which you describe your work on the two phases of the Six Sigma process improvement project.
Format your assignment as if you would be giving a presentation to senior management.
